Seems that all of us with chronic illnesses have so much in common. I am grateful for the overwhelming support I have received from so many who understand the emotional and mental toll illness takes on a person. Please take care!Melissa Adams VanHoutenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14403594815255808456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1820071668141792537.post-53680645525189976232015-04-10T08:18:35.697-07:002015-04-10T08:18:35.697-07:00This must be so difficult, and I am glad there are...This must be so difficult, and I am glad there are support groups where that help cope with the feelings of loneliness. I never understand why people push something on those with illness when clearly, it's unhealthy and painful for that person. As someone with mental illness, I face a lot of the same loneliness when I go to a social gathering and instead of enjoying myself like everyone else is, the walls are closing in and I'm feeling emotionally paralyzed. People do the same type of "oh just try, I'm sure you'll be fine" and don't realize how awful it is. It's not quite the same thing, but I can slightly empathize, and my heart goes out to you.
